Custom Handmade Hardwood Display Case Table.

My newest handmade hardwood project is a small display case table. This first table used American Walnut but other hardwoods are available.

The photo on the left show a table with a 20" square top and a 22" height. The image on the right shows a side view of the table.

Some features are:

• The top lifts off. It sits on four small metal pins positioned into the tops of the legs.
• The glass top is 1/4" plate glass for strength.
• The interior depth of the display area is 6" with a size of 17" square.
• The clear glass side walls are common Double Strength (DS) glass.
• The interior area is covered with a layer of 1/4" cork.
• The finish is MinWax Wipe-On Poly ® with a clear Satin finish.

A table of this size in American Walnut is $300 (as of June 2018). Other species, especially the exotic woods, may cost more based on my lumber cost.

Shipping is additional. I ship via FedEx Ground from my shop in Durham, NC. I will quote the shipping cost once a table size is known and the ship to zip code is supplied.

I stock the three most common American Hardwood from Wall Lumber.

• Black Walnut (or American Walnut) - The ultimate in fine furniture, cabinets and paneling.
• Cherry also called Black Cherry or American Cherry - One of the top furniture woods.
• Red Oak (American) - Most frequently used for furniture.

I usually stock the following four Exotic Species from the Wall Lumber as well. Other woods are available if they are in the Wall Lumber catalogue, my lumber supplier.

• Bubinga - Reddish Brown with purple streaks.
• Zebra Wood - Light Tan with Streaks of Dark Brown.
• Canary Wood - Yellow with Red Tints and Nice Grain Features.
• Lacewood - Spectacular Grain.
